Helping Speedo launch two new product ranges

​Designing and building landing pages to introduce two of Speedo's new sportswear ranges, H2o Active apparel and V-Class, their new, premium range of swim goggles.

Introduction

Speedo is the world's leading swimwear brand, with more Olympic gold medals won whilst wearing Speedo than any other brand of swimwear.

They provide great products which are impeccably designed so their consumers can perform at their best, in style.

Brief

Distinction were commissioned by Speedo to design two landing pages to exhibit their new ranges of cutting edge sports apparel, H2o Active and V-Class premium goggles.

Both ranges make use of the latest technology to enable the best performance in comfort and style. H2O Active apparel is designed for use in and out of the water, made from entirely recycled materials for those who want to find an active lifestyle in harmony with the environment. Their new range of V-Class premium goggles introduce 'Super Antifog' lenses that provide 2x longer lasting visibility and their new IQfit (TM) 3D goggle seals that provide ultimate comfort, reducing red marks around the eyes whilst keeping a secure fit.

Our designs needed to display the innovation and the quality of these new ranges.

Solution

Our design and development teams designed and coded the web pages, whilst working with the extensive range of imagery supplied by Speedo to show off these ranges. The products were made to facilitate the best performance for those that love to challenge themselves and keep improving. Our designs were made to highlight this competitive element, bringing to the fore how these products could improve the active lifestyle their consumers enjoy, whilst also showing the social side of an active lifestyle.

For the H2O Active range, we created a page which showcases the multi-functional nature of the products. At a glance, the user is able to see the various features of the range, such as its chlorine-resistant fabric and environmentally-friendly aspect. One of our favourite things about the page is that the user is able to see the entire range in one glance, and can browse different areas of the range with arrows, allowing a 'mix-and-match' browsing experience.

The page that we created for Speedo's V-Class goggles offers an entirely different experience. Beautiful animation is teamed with stunning imagery to exhibit the premium nature of the product. The user learns more about the features of the goggles as they scroll down the page and snippets of information appear from the images and dark background, giving the goggles a truly exclusive feel and taking the customer on a discovery journey. When the user reaches the bottom of the page, they are able to easily browse the goggles in both colours without leaving the page to help their decision when buying.

Results

We're extremely proud of the work we created for Speedo as we believe that they reflect the truly iconic status of the brand. We've received excellent feedback from the client and Speedo is fully satisfied that the pages showcase their new products.
