Creating a modern website to reflect a company-wide rebrand in double-quick time
State of Flux are a leading procurement and supply chain consultancy. They work with clients globally, and have offices across Europe and Asia Pacific.
As well as consulting, they also provide supplier relationship management software, Statess.
State of Flux’s old website was out of date, wasn’t mobile friendly and was difficult for editors to maintain. The objectives were to modernise the look and feel to reflect a company-wide rebrand, provide a better experience for mobile/tablet visitors and to improve the conversion rate of visitors to enquiries.
The most challenging aspect of the project was optimising the information architecture of the site, ensuring that all services were easily navigable and accessible within a couple of clicks. Ensuring that the website performs well in search engines was important, which built-in Kentico functionality has helped achieve.
The pressure was on, as the entire project needed to be completed within five weeks to be ready in time for the launch of their annual Global SRM Research Report.
Many of Kentico’s standard functionality was used within the site, including news, events and downloads. Because of the importance of relating case studies to specific services, and vice versa, Distinction use ‘related documents’ throughout the site to simplify administration.
We also integrated with 3rd party services such as LeadLander to enable advanced reporting on visitor metrics.
Responsive design was implemented to ensure an optimal experience for visitors using tablets and mobile phones. The responsive design employed is elegant and ensures that all pages throughout the site work well at all screen sizes.
We also use the user security aspects of provide ‘client’ areas of content behind a user registration wall.

The new State of Flux website has been highly praised by their visitors, and their overall brand awareness has increased because of it.
With several enhancements planned for this year, including the addition of more language versions of the site, Kentico is providing an ideal platform for State of Flux to better engage with their prospects, clients and suppliers, on any device.
